Summary: Opened in 2002, Headquarters Barber Shop has become a permanent fixture in Indianapolis community. While the majority of its customers are African-American, the barber shop has trained barbers to cut many styles or grades of hair. Headquarters Barber Shop is owned and operated by Tory Terrell. According to Mr. Terrell, the business was founded for other reasons than just providing a haircut on Saturday morning or any other day of the week. Therefore, it is not uncommon to walk in on a discussion about education, philosophy or politics; and if you have some extra time, you might be challenged to a game of chess. This is more than a barbershop. It is a cultural center that can be compared to the Ancient Greeks visitors coming to Egypt for more knowledge!
