On YouTube, some people refer to me as the “Burger Man.” As a result, I must live up to the nickname. It is my duty to review fast food burgers on the market. Ironically, I missed the memo about the McDouble, which replaced McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger on its Dollar Value Menu.
The Price of McDouble
Since the McDouble appears on McDonald’s Dollar Value Menu, the cost is $1.00 per sandwich plus taxes, if your state or locality charges for taxes at food restaurants. This is a good price for the sandwich, and it will allow McDonald’s to earn a greater profit over time because the McDouble has one less slice of cheese than the Double Cheeseburger. Some people may choose to stick with the Double Cheeseburger, which now costs $1.19 per burger. The price of the Double Cheeseburger will also help McDonald’s increase its profits, because of the higher price to compensate for the additional slice of cheese.
Overall Evaluation of the McDouble
In my opinion, the McDouble tastes better than the Double Cheeseburger. The flavor of the McDouble is remarkable and unforgettable. So far, I have bought three McDouble sandwiches and each of them possessed less grease than the Double Cheeseburgers (hint: one less slice of cheese). If you enjoy the taste of fast food burgers, then you will treasure McDonald’s McDouble, in spite of what some of the critics are saying. Give the McDouble a try and e-mail me at
