Our lives are consumed by business. Every time we buy something, as a consumer, or clock in at work, as an employee, we are participants in the business process. Unfortunately, some of us do not think about our importance in the overall economy; whether we are consumers or labors, or both, we help businesses to produce more products or services, as an employee or help businesses earn more through our consumer purchases.

Most business related websites (e.g. http://money.cnn.com) do not require you to subscribe to read their articles; therefore, you have unlimited access to information concerning business planning, investing, and changes in the economy.

Remember, business literacy is vital in this global economy. People who are business literate have a better chance of getting job promotions and/or changing industries when corporate downsizing occurs.
