Some established companies, which may include Fortune 500 companies, may use the voice and or appearance of a celebrity to promote a specific product or service that is being sold to the general public. While this may be an affordable marketing opportunity for some companies, if your company cannot afford to pay a celebrity, you might consider choosing yourself as the spokesperson of your own business.
You Understand the Business
If you pay someone to advertise your business, whether it be a marketing firm or paid celebrity, this individual may not have the same conviction that you would display in front of a camera or a group of investors eager to learn more about your company. As the head of the company, you have the advantage of understanding the daily operation of the company, which an outsider may not fully ever comprehend.
Do Not Be Afraid of the Camera
In order to be the face of your business, you must learn not to shy away from the spotlight. Every interview and public speaking engagement is an opportunity for new people to be introduced to your products and services that can enhance their lives. As the company spokesperson, you are responsible for getting the general public interested in your company’s product and services as well as other future endeavors.
