Day 3 was a disaster! Fortunately, my ego was strong enough to endure a bad day. I focused on the Verbal Section of the GMAT. Usually, I do fairly well on the practice tests and practice problems. I scored at least the 72nd percentile on my last two Verbal Practice Exams offered through Manhattan GMAT. About three months ago, I could not score higher than the 37th percentile on the Verbal Section. At the time, I had one major problem. I was reading too slowly.
I apologize for the rant. Yesterday, I did the following practice problems:
- Manhattan Review GMAT Verbal Study Guide:
- Sentence Correction Questions 185 -200
- Reading Passages 12 -13
- Kaplan Premier Program 2008 CD
- Critical Reasoning Test 2
I got 62.5% (10/16) of the sentence correction questions correct. I barely exceeded 50% on Kaplan's CD Critical Reasoning section. I only got 50% of the Reading Passages questions correct. I did poorly on Day 3. I would have done more practice problems, but my brain did not cooperate. I know I can do better.
In addition, I did some elementary math questions in Chapter 1 of EZ Solutions: Algebra Module. I need to know the basics. There is no guarantee that I will have all crazy math problems on the day that I sit for the GMAT! I have to prepare for everything!
