At age 32, I am not exactly a dinosaur. I believe I am in decent health. My mind is pretty sharp, but I am not getting any younger. Nevertheless, if I ever want to be the head of a major corporation, I cannot wait much longer to make a major move. Last year, I began studying for the GMAT in my spare time. Honestly, I did not know how to master the material. However, I refused to give up my dream of attending graduate business school.
Since July 2009, I asked myself to study harder. My goal is not master 60% of the GMAT material. I need to understand every inch of the GMAT, for I do not believe my past academic performances will get me into a decent graduate business school program. In actuality, I know I cannot afford a GMAT score under 700. As a result, each day is a mental challenge. I am a knight that possesses a pencil, a notebook, and a study guide as my shield and weapons in this test of knowledge. I have already heard how difficult the GMAT can be from individuals that scored well on the test.
Unlike last year, I have a more positive attitude towards taking the GMAT. In a few months, I will take the GMAT. After the test, I will apply to several graduate business schools. Hopefully, I can report good news in 2010 that one of those graduate schools has admitted me.
