Don’t Be Quick to Leave Your Current Corporation

In today’s business world, it is not uncommon for an employee to find a new job and company every three to five years. Yet, some individual do not last this long. Unfortunately, working for a new company each year will do little to help your career.

People leave their jobs for a variety of reasons. Some individuals are downsized or need to move because of a spouse landing a new position in a different city. Still, others get frustrated by the job duties and decide to find a new job.

Generally, it takes a few years before entry-level employees are given enormous jobs responsibilities. If an individual is not patient, he or she will leave the company without gaining this invaluable experience. Instead of making progress and job growth, this person may always work in an entry-level position.

Prior to accepting a job offer, ask yourself whether you can make a three to five year commitment to the company! If not, you might consider not taking the job offer. Changing companies every year makes you look unstable in the eyes of potential employers. Therefore, these organizations will probably hire you for an entry-level position.
