The Atlanta Hawks Win Second
in A Row
By: Jason Cunningham (11/25/2005)
Who says lightening does not strike
twice in the same place! The Atlanta Hawks caught the Indianapolis Pacers
tonight minus one major player. Pacers' All Star Ron Artest did not suit up and
they lost to the Hawks 87-85.
One night after beating the Cleveland
Cavaliers by 22 points, the Indianapolis Pacers did not look like a championship
team without Artest. Actually everyone on the Pacers' team with the exception of
Jermaine O'Neal struggled all night against the Atlanta Hawks. You would
have never guessed that the Hawks had only won one game in this NBA season.
The Pacers had their chances to win,
however PG Jamaal Tinsley's free throw struggles and the team's rebounding woes
allowed the Hawks to slip out of Indianapolis with a much needed victory.
Hopefully Ron Artest's hand injury is not serious, so that the Pacers do not
experience an extended losing streak.
As for the Atlanta Hawks, they should
celebrate a little, but remember you get paid to win. Former Pacer player and
current Hawk's starter, Al Harrington was elated as the final buzzer sounded. He
finally beat his old club at Conseco Fieldhouse.
