The Cleveland Browns Need A QB Change!

By: Jason Cunningham (10/28/2005)

The 2-4 Cleveland Browns should have won last week versus the Detroit Lions. Browns' QB Trent Dilfer is starting to show his age on the football field, including three interceptions last week. It is time the coaching staff consider putting the rookie from Akron University, Charlie Frye in as starting QB.

This week the Cleveland Browns will face the 0-6 Houston Texans. If the Browns allow Dilfer to start it should be on a short leach. If he is ineffective against a team that has not won a game, then Frye should be inserted before the second half of the ball game. It is not that people are against Trent Dilfer, but he has looked awful in two straight game resulting two ugly losses.

The Browns will probably run the ball a lot on Sunday, and try to keep the ball out of Dilfer's hand. So RB Reuben Droughns will be pounding the ball until the Houston Texans bow down to the might running game! Okay that sounds like a stretch, but a strong running attack, and spraying dump passes all of the field is all you need to defeat the Texans. If the Browns do not win on Sunday expect an article about QB Trent Dilfer within an hour after the game is over.
