The Cavs Get Stormed
by the Pistons
By: Jason Cunningham (5/8/2006)
I did not expect the Cleveland
Cavaliers to beat the Detroit Pistons in the opening game of their Eastern
Conference semi-finals match-up. However, the game was such a massacre that no
one could defend the Cavs' performance. The Pistons played basketball at a level
not seen in a long time.
The Cavs lost to the Pistons
by the score of 113-86. The score was not indicative of beating that occurred.
If the Pistons wanted to win by 50 points, it could have been accomplished. The
Pistons hit a team playoff record 15 three-pointers. Cavaliers' Lebron
James did not score a single point in the second half, however finished with 22
points. It was an embarrassing day for the players, coaches, and fans of the
Cleveland Cavaliers. Hopefully, they can rebound by Tuesday and play better.
I do not want to see
something that ugly, unless it is the Cavs are beating the Pistons.
Unfortunately, I fear at this pace, the Pistons will be moving on the Eastern
Conference Finals in 5 games. C'mon Cavs beat the Pistons.
