I never expected former NBA great Charles Barkley to think about a political run for Governor of Alabama. Barkley is one of the most recognized commentator in the world of sports. The man says what is really on his mind.

It is possible for Barkley to win. Everybody knows his name and face. Also, he is probably remembered by individuals, as one of state's greatest basketball players. Charles Barkley seems to be a good public speakers, and the man has an opinion on everything from road kill to probably Brittney Spears. Besides, athletes and movie stars have been doing well in politics.

The lack of political experience could hurt Barkley. He would do better to run for mayor of a city. However, I am not going to tell him that winning is impossible. The 6 feet four inch Barkley was a great rebounder, while snatching the ball from seven feet tall centers. It would be interesting if we referred to Charles Barkley as the Governor. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Governor of California, could give Sir Charles some helpful tips.
