Cleveland Cavs Want Lebron to
Stay!
By: Jason Cunningham (7/09/2005)
Until yesterday, I really did not understand what
the Cleveland Cavs have on their agenda. They supposed came to a five year
agreement with Washington Wizards' free agent and shooting guard Larry Hughes.
Now I believe the Cavs are trying to keep the greatest player to ever wear their
jersey, and I am talking about Lebron James.
Since King James came to town, we have all wondered
why the Cleveland Cavs never went after a pure shooter. Last season's off-season
was a disaster. The team let their super dominant, power forward Carlos Boozer
slip in away to Denver. Management of the Cavs believed they had a gentleman's
agreement with the free agent Boozer to re-sign after he tested the market.
This off-season has faired better for the team from
Cleveland. They hired Indiana Pacer's assistant coach Mike Brown to be their new
head coach. Okay, I am not sure about hiring former Cavs player Danny
Ferry to be the team's GM. However let's give the man a chance. Yet with Larry
Hughes appearing to be on board with the team, we can now breathe a sigh of
relief. It appears that the King, Lebron James will be in Cleveland for years to
come.
