Could Mario Williams Be Another Bruce Smith?

 In all fairness, former NC State's defensive end Mario Williams has not seen a snap in the NFL. Maybe, I have pre-judged him too soon. Twenty-one years ago, another defensive end named Bruce Smith was chosen number one overall in the NFL Draft. Smith only went on to become the NFL all-time leader in sacks. 

 Williams has the opportunity to prove all of his critics wrong. I definitely see he has the potential to be great; however, I do not believe it will happen. I was quite young when defensive end Bruce Smith went number one overall in the NFL Draft. Some people probably thought the Buffalo Bills made a mistake. Smith will be inducted in the NFL Hall of Fame in a few more years. Maybe the same fate is awaiting for Mario Williams?
