John: Let us talk about the currency. Something that young
people refer to as bread or ends. What should it look like. The ball is passed
to you my son.
Jason: It should remain symbolic in every respect. A nation
should have connection to its past. It is the ancient history and philosophy
that has greatly influenced Western thought. Who are we to change that? One day
it is clear that currency will be used less and less due to technology, however
it should be our goal to maintain its integrity.
John: Well said. What about the mention of God?
Jason: The mention of God remains on our currency. The reason
being is that here God is not promoting a specific religion of today. Therefore,
the mention of God on our currency is not favoring or disrespecting any of our
faiths or religions. For those who do not believe that God exists or never
existed, please refer them to St. Thomas Aquinas, The Summa Theologica - The
Existence of God. We are attempting to acknowledge that God has aided us in
the creation of Building a Moral Society.
John: Interesting. You have made your point. What other things
should be on our money?
Jason: We must elevate our people. We need to have symbolic
objects that represent freedom. A flag, a monument, buildings that governmental,
people holding hands, and the eternal flame. The sacrifice of people should be
forever immortalized on our currency.
John: I need say no more. Let us get something to eat.
