There a few rules that I believe are more important than others. Dating at work is out of the question. Stop watching those soap operas or movies, if they are influencing you to step into murky waters. For there are more opportunities to date in this world than you can ever dream about having.

You should not put your career in jeopardy, in the name of pleasure. Always be a professional in the workplace. Work is about accomplishing personal and company goals, that move both parties in a positive direction. So leave all of your feelings of attraction and betrayal at home, because most of us do not get paid for dating at work.

I am sure we can find some individuals who have become married, as a result of dating in the workplace. However at the same time, for every successful romance at work, you can probably find ten that ended in some sort of disaster, including dismissal, a court date, or loss of a promotion opportunity. Remember it is your career, so think before you do something that you may later regret.
