Dealing With Your Ex!

By: Jason Cunningham (12/5/2005)

Some young people have asked me how do you deal with your ex. I tell them the truth, because unlike lying, sometimes it can set you free. Dealing with some of your exes may be hard, but you need patience in order to endure.

Be cordial to the ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend. Never let them see you hurting. If you do not speak, then that means that have already won.  They might feed off of your anger, and make you feel worse by flirting with someone in your face. Okay you might not believe me until it happens to you, but take it from a professional, I already know it to be a fact.

Never brag to your ex about anything; this applies to both your professional and personal life. For it you do, be ready for the payback. Often adults act like children when it comes to affairs of the heart. I personally think it is stupid to try to get people back, however do not let them embarrass you, especially in your hometown. Okay that may have sounded similar to a low blow, yet heed my advice.

Do not let your ex think you care. I am not saying you should not saying that compassion should be do not be shown if they are lying if the street or they need help, but do not be like "Keith Sweat" and beg for he or she back. There are to many other people in this world. Sure I might sound a tad bitter, however you will thank me one day, and no need for a donation.

Dealing with your ex is similar to pouring kerosene on your heart.  You never know when it will stop burning. Believe me there is no need to ask the singer Usher for advice, given his song, "Let it Burn." Just find someone or something else to occupy your time, it helps consume time, which helps the healing process.
