The Eagles Are Done in 2005!
By: Jason Cunningham (12/07/2005)
I had high hopes for the Philadelphia
Eagles at the beginning of the 2005 season. Now I knew they were not going to
return to the Superbowl, however no one probably could have envisioned this
disaster. The three offensive leaders QB Donovan McNabb, RB Brian Westbrook, and
WR Terrell Owens are not in the lineup, therefore the Eagles will be lucky if
they win another football game.
The 5-7 Eagles looked so pathetic
during this past week Monday Night Football Game against the Seattle Seahawks
that I went to sleep on the game. Philadelphia Eagles' RB Brian Westbrook was
injured in the game, and now officially out for the rest of the season. Hope has
officially left the building if you root for the city of "Brotherly Love's"
football team. QB Donovan McNabb is already on the shelf with a hernia injury,
which requires surgery. I know the organization won't let Terrell Owens play for
the rest of the season, however if they wish to win another game, number 81
better start making catches.
Maybe the Eagles need to play the
Houston Texans for the rest the season, because that way they will finish the
season with a winning record. I really doubt the team will get much better in
2006, especially without the services of WR Terrell Owens. Once the Eagles
release him, they are going to realize that no one is open for QB Donovan
McNabb. You better start watching college football instead of their pro
team!
