The Eagles Need Terrell Owens
Back!
By: Jason Cunningham (12/06/2005)
The poor Philadelphia Eagles should
donate this week's salary to their favorite charities, because they surely do
not deserve them. I know that former Eagles great, the deceased Reggie White had
his jersey retired by the organization last night, however the current Eagles
did not show up. The 42-0 beating the Seattle Seahawks laid upon their heads
last night should have led Philadelphia's Coach Andy Reid to reactivate Eagles'
WR Terrell Owens from his season's ending banishment.
I know it snows sometimes in Seattle,
Washington, but the city of Philadelphia is known for the Vet, the
Rocky Movies, and snow. I thought the Eagles were playing an away game, the
way the Seahawks kept picking off the Eagles' QBs. Maybe Terrell Owens was
not the cancer of the team, but the sorry offense in place without his services
and that of starting QB Donovan McNabb. I thought the team was supposed to get
better without TO being a distraction! I think the USC Trojans would have
played a better game than the Eagles did against the Seattle Seahawks.
I think Owens should be allowed to
return, his four suspension is over and the team could use him. Who wants to see
fellow WR Greg Lewis not try to stop another impending interception? His effort
in last night's football game was pathetic. However Lewis was not alone and no
one in an Eagles' uniform should pat themselves on the back. I doubt the Eagles'
fans are really concerned if TO is a problem child as long as they are winning.
Oh I forgot, the Eagles may not do that again for the rest of this NFL season.
It is time to bring Terrell Owens back, otherwise Coach Reid may find himself a
lame duck and unemployed at the end of this season.
