Edgerrin James Makes it to
Camp

The starting running back
of the Indianapolis Colts reported to training camp yesterday at Rose-Hulman
College. There had been weeks of speculation whether Edgerrin James would arrive
on time, because he has appeared to be unsatisfied that the Colts have not
offered him a long term contract.
It is good that the Colts have James
in camp. Whether they sign him to a new deal after the season is anybody's
guess. Yet Edgerrin plays for the most prolific offense in the NFL, and has to
remember that the system in Indianapolis is perfect for his running style, and
going to another team might be bad for his career.
Five more productive years in
Indianapolis, will definitely put him in a position to be a second, if not a
first ballot Hall of Famer. I am sure that Edgerrin James has weighed
this, however who knows how much of his heart is still committed to the Colts.
