I totally forgot that Former Boxer Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield was boxing last night. Fortunately, I was flipping through the channels and came across the fight.

Holyfield fought some guy named Jeremy Bates. I had never heard of Holyfield's opponent. After this article, it is safe to say that you probably won't remember Bates' name. Last night, Holyfield was in total control and had his way with him. The boxing match was stopped in the second round.

It was a moral decision for the referee to stop the fight. If he continued in the third round, Bates might have been brain dead. This was no fun to watch. In spite of Evander Holyfield's decline in speed and punching power, he battered Bates with a flurry of punches. I'm glad this fight was not on pay-per-view.
