Jason: Education has always fancied you father. What do you
think of its importance in our Moral Society?
John: It is the key for economic freedom for our citizens. You
do not have to be a lawyer or doctor to live a comfortable life. Many of these
professions lend themselves to individuals who live beyond their means, in order
to first gain acceptance from their established peers.
Jason: Yes, I do understand that it is not what you make, but
how much you save that really matters. Individuals have lacked education in two
area, which need to be addressed in Building a Moral Society.
John: Two area, well tell me which subjects. I am dying to hear
this.
Jason: Personal finances and philosophy should be taught in
kindergarten. For some lack the knowledge necessary to maintain their person
finances in good order, or cannot have an intelligent debate.
John: Philosophy does allow one to improve their mind. Clearly a
society that values thought will be more inclined to produce more intelligent
leaders in all areas necessary to maintain the Republic. Also, those who can
understand their personal finances and are able to stretch their money further
are a blessing to our Moral Society.
Jason: How so?
John: These individuals are independent, maybe they need some
help in their elder years, however they give back to the system and are not like
crows waiting for a free meal. Our education system should invest more in
our children, so that more people are self-sufficient, able to think with strong
intellectual prowess, hard workers, and can handle all aspects of finances that
a reasonable personal should understand.
Jason: Our children should all be taught to balance a checkbook,
the fundamentals of accounting, credit, insurance, investing, and retirement.
These basics should be part of the regular school curriculum.
John: Well done. I agree wholeheartedly. The whole Moral Society
would be improved by these suggested measures. A strong foundation in philosophy
and finances will cause the people to be less dependent upon Government
programs.
