Holcombe out, Tim Couch back in!
By: Jason Cunningham
The Cleveland Browns' QB situation just got a
little shaky! Kerry Holcombe fractured foot will keep him out of this week's
division rival to the south. Coach Butch Davis will have to go with his back up
quarterback, Tim Couch this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Holcombe looked heroic in the fourth quarter
for the Browns first win of the season against San Francisco 49ers. His
fractured foot will prevent Holcombe from throwing a pass this weekend against
the Bengals. Enter possibly the new era of quarterback, Tim Couch. Couch is
presented with a new chance to prove to himself and others, why he should be the
starter!
We believe if Tim Couch can make the
Cleveland Browns looked good against the Bengals get ready for his triumph
return to the starting lineup. Holcombe has not looked good at the helm this
year for the Browns, but for the fourth quarter against the 49ers. It is Couch's
chance to shine and prove to everyone why the Browns chose him #1 overall five
years ago.
Look for Brown's Butch Davis to introduce
Couch as the starting quarterback after next week. Butch wanted a reason to
insert Couch, but did not want to admit he was wrong for naming Kerry Holcombe
the starter. Football will be revitalized under Couch and the NFL needs to watch
out for Browns now.
