I Cannot Wait For The Da Vinci Code Movie

By: Jason Cunningham (3/30/2006)

Before the Passion of Christ, there had been some time before a controversial movie concerning religious thought hit the theatre. The Da Vinci Code will draw more protest than the Last Temptation of Christ. However, I cannot wait for the May 19, 2006 movie premier.

Before you write The Da Vinci Code Movie off as fraudulent and blasphemy, you must realize that this is the most anticipated movie of the year. Those who have read the book by Dan Brown;  learned about an intriguing story that Leonardo Da Vinci left secret codes concerning history's Holy Grail, and it is not a chalice from the "Last Supper," but the discovery of Jesus Christ's ancestors. It would be a secret that would wreck to fabric of the Church.

Many will protest the Da Vinci Code movie. Yet they will fail to consider that Dan Brown's theory presented in his book could match what Da Vinci meant to show the world in such  famous paining, The Last Supper or The Virgin of the Rocks. While many scholars refuse to weigh in on Brown's research, it is still an interesting theory and he has not gone on record that it's the Gospel truth.

Whether you are religious or not, we should understand that our faith should be based on something greater a movie. If you want to denounce the Da Vinci Code, then protest at home, but let people see the movie. This story should not cause any violence, otherwise; do we really live a civilized society? To be honest, I have the same anticipation watching this movie as the Passion of Christ or The Last Temptation of Christ.
