While watching the BET Awards in June, I was surprised to see Good Time stars including Jimmie Walker (JJ), Ralph Carter (Michael), and Bernadette Stanis (Thelma), presenting an award at the BET Awards Show. However, the group seemed more shocked by the appearance of former cast member, Janet Jackson, who joined on the stage. A few days later, I was engaged in a debate. Who do prefer, Janet Jackson or Bernadette Stanis?

Most people probably would pick Janet Jackson. I have to disagree with those who support Ms. Jackson. There is something about Bernadette Stanis' smile that can make you feel warm inside. Besides, Bernadette Stanis has joined an exclusive club of African American women such as Lynn Whitfield, over the age of 50, that can turn all heads in a crowded venue. Ms. Stanis is still one of the loveliest woman on the planet.

I don't know why the discussion occurred. In my opinion, Bernadette Stanis is clearly the "Mary Anne" that men want; instead of Janet Jackson, who can represent "Ginger."
