Jerry Rice Hauls in TD #206
By: Jason Cunningham (November 24, 2004)
The amazing career of Jerry Rice may be
drawing near, yet this past Sunday he proved he had saved some of his magic.
Rice, a wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks caught the 206 TD of his
illustrious career against the Miami Dolphins.
Anybody who thought Jerry Rice would never
have another big game after being traded by the Oakland Raiders, earlier this
season can now be quiet. Rice caught three catches for 86 yards, including a 56
yard TD from backup quarterback Trent Dilfer. The Seattle Seahawks won the game
24-17.
Rice is the greatest receiver of all-time.
His longevity in the NFL has been incredible; this is Rice's 20th season in the
league. He has always provided fans with nothing less than 100% effort, while
being a humble patriarch on the football field. Jerry Rice should be carried off
the field when he decides to retire, and taken straight to Canton, OH, and they
should begin work on his bust right away.
