Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison Set NFL TD Record!

By: Jason Cunningham (10/17/2005)

QB Peyton Manning and WR Marvin Harrison of the Indianapolis Colts  no longer have to share the NFL record of most touchdowns by a quarterback receiver duo in league history. Coming into tonight's matchup versus the St Louis Rams, the Colts' teammates were tied with former San Francisco players, QB Steve Young and WR Jerry Rice with 85 touchdowns between the two of them.

Well Manning etched his and Harrison's name in the history book, by completing a 6 yard TD with 10:11 left in the fourth quarter. It was the 86th time the famous duo had connected for a touchdown, and established the new NFL record. One thing we can be assure of, Manning and Harrison will continue to add to their touchdown total barring any serious injury. It was overall a good night for the Indianapolis Colts, who played in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football.  The Colts defeated the Rams 45-28.
