The Media Is Not
Destroying Bush's Credibility
By: Jason Cunningham (4/1/2006)
If credibility in this world is
real, President Bush must continue to stop his support from waning. While the
administration blamed the media for years, it now appears many of Bush's
supports are fed up. Is there any hope for the Bush Administration?
From the Iraq War to Illegal
Immigration, President Bush is losing support. While he could never say this
publicly, Bush wishes the Iraqi people could stall the insurgency on their own
and most of the troops could come home tomorrow. We are now a long ways from
President's Bush stating, "I'm a War President....or Mission Accomplished."
Early on, it had been indicated that US Troops would be seen as liberators in
Iraq; however three years later, many of us are left scratching our heads for
answers. Let's face it, the American people are losing faith in his leadership.
Illegal Immigration is an
issue that President Bush cannot afford to lose. Even if the polls do not
indicate it is a major issue for most Americans, it is still important to many
of his Hispanic supporters. As a money saver, many American companies are
dependent on cheap leader from our southern borders. Nevertheless, Bush would
silence some of his critics if there is a immigration program that goal is
citizenship, instead of a prompting a "Guest Worker Program" aimed mainly at
filling jobs Americans won't work (Most of these jobs do not want to any pay
benefits or would barely cover some of our mortgages).
President Bush has many days
left in his Administration. However, do not expect much to be accomplished
between now and the rest of his time in office. Bush has been his own worst
enemy by spouting off his accomplishments before finishing the task. History
will about the President, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
