Jason: We have talked on and about self sacrifice, however how
can this really become relevant for all in the Moral Society?
John: Our leaders must exert their leadership and offer more
than lip service. If there is a need for more funding to fix school that are
falling apart, maybe they need to forgo some of their gaudy expenses which we
end up paying for.
Jason: It is a mockery to expect the citizens of the Republic to
conserve energy, and spend more to keep the economy afloat, while the
politicians get a free lunch pass to spend at will.
John: Every person needs to do their part to make sure that the
lights are never off, even if someone falls asleep at the wheel.
Jason: It is a moral duty to engage in self sacrifice, but never
for more airtime or position. We must guard one another from the threat of
outsiders who wish ill upon a peaceful existence. There are those in the world
who constantly thirst for war and destruction.
John: The gift of self sacrifice is directly given from God's
hands. Some of us must return to the earth, or break bones in order for someone
else to enjoy the beauty found in looking at the bright sun.
Jason: Indeed father, we grapple for the same conclusion. Self
sacrifice is not contained within one specific fact pattern, but is as universal
as the air we breathe. Where we are able to recognize more opportunities of self
sacrifice, the foundation of the Moral Society becomes stronger.
