More High Gas Prices
Blues!
By: Jason Cunningham (3/14/2006)
Every since Congress nixed
the port deal with UAE's
Dubai Ports World, the gas prices at the pump
seem to be on the rise. I am not trying to spin a conspiracy theory however it
is ironic. Just when Americans were getting used to paying $2.20 at the pump,
you can now pay $2.54 for regular unleaded gasoline.
The price of gas is one more thing the average American
needs to consider when planning their budget. It is taking away from retirement
saving and entertainment that could be spent in retail stores or at the movies.
There goes some of future dreams of that plasma television.
We can expect more record sales from gasoline companies if
the current prices stand stable or rise further. At least we know some companies
will prosper while the average one of us cries the high gas price blues. I guess
this is the way it is going to be for the remainder of time.
