Many financial planners and advisors are happy with the statements their clients have recently received. However they are left wondering with the recent upturn in the market, are some of their clients headed out the backdoor. In reality, are some of their current clients really online investors who were sick of their losses over the last two years and needed to have their hand held for a while.

The tumultuous times since March of 2000 have sparked anger and frustration on the part of many investors. For the first time, some of the so called do it yourself investors began to seek professional help, managing their portfolio. However with the recent surge in the market, will some of these people be jumping ship? Are their financial advisors going to be left standing at the altar. Will the " I do not need attitude from the 1990's be soon returning. In good market times, people have a tendency to forget about their woes and start doing high fives and believe they can do no wrong.

Time will tell if the story comes true. However, as interest rates have fallen like rain drops from sky; one has to wonder if the online investor inside of most of us has a little more courage? We will see if the sleeping online investor is back on the prowl.
