The Pacers vs. Pistons - The NBA Dream Matchup

The NBA and TNT can set back and enjoy great ratings. While the Lebron James, KG, T-Mac, and Yao show are on hiatus for the rest of the this season, the NBA's number one rivalry will be renewed. The Indianapolis Pacers and Detroit Pistons begin their best of seven Eastern Conference semi-finals series tonight at 8 PM EST.

The defending world champions Pistons will welcome the Pacers without open arms. If the rivalry did not start in last years playoffs it definitely born out of the brawl at Auburn Hills' Place on November 18, 2004. Also throw in the fact the last time the Pacers traveled to the Palace there was a bomb threat that delayed the game. Pacers fans still blame the fans up north for ruing a definite trip to the NBA Finals for this team in Reggie Miller's last season before retiring as the leader of many Pacers records.

NBA Commissioner David could not dream up a better second round matchup from a economic standout. People will watch these games, because the brawl is still fresh on the minds of those who follow sports.
