Ron Artest has lost It!
By: Jason Cunningham (11/10/2004)
I always support people following their dreams, but Ron Artest
of the Indianapolis Pacers has lost it. He allegedly asked for a couple of games
off to promote his music album. It is the regular NBA season, and you get paid
millions to play basketball, that album can wait till the off season.
This is not college, this is the pros, if someone was sick in
your family, the people would understand. However some people are paying an
hundred dollars a ticket to watch you play, Mr. Ron Artest. I work on this
website and in corporate America, but at this present moment, my 9 to 5 job
keeps my other debts, including my student loans paid. So, Ron Artest unless you
plan to stop playing basketball, you need to reconcile this situation. Nobody
should be against you for making a living outside of basketball, that is using
great foresight and planning for your future. That is a quality lesson for young
people to emulate.
Yet it is time to get your behind on the court, Ron Artest. The
greatest marketing opportunity for you is when you lace up those basketball
sneakers. You are a basketball player trying to cross over into the music
industry. Regardless of Ron Artest's skill set as a musician or producer, people
are going to be first curious about his ability because they know him as a NBA
star.
