Texas Mack Brown's Last Stand
By: Jason Cunningham (10/08/2005)
Today the 4-0 Texas Longhorns will have a
chance to deliver a blow to their arch rival, the Oklahoma Sooners (2-2). Mack
Brown, the coach of Texas has lost five straight games against the Sooners,
however if he is going to win a National Championship, this is his last stand.
How long will it be before Alumni support erodes for him if the team loses
today?
Everyone knows Coach Mack Brown has
been successful at Texas. In the last two seasons, his teams have huge wins over
the two Big Ten Bohemians, The Ohio State University this season, and the
University of Michigan in last year's bowl game. The fans of Texas want
Brown and the Longhorns to dismantle the Sooners' hope and dreams. Show no
mercy, because Oklahoma in the past has given Texas some painful beatings in
recent history. This is do or die for Mack Brown, a win make him a hero, and
keeps their National Championship hopes alive, otherwise a loss will result in
him looking at the classifieds come season end.
