Thank You, Dwayne Wade
By: Jason Cunningham (5/26/2005)
Miami Heat's second year pro, Dwayne
Wade saved my playoff prediction last night. If Wade and his teammates went into
game 3 down 0-2, to the defending NBA Champs, the Detroit Pistons, then I would
have looked silly picking Miami to represent the East in the NBA Finals.
The magic of Dwayne Wade has been bright ever since
last year's playoff series against the Indianapolis Pacers. He has made himself
into one of the best players in the NBA. While he may give a lot of credit to his
teammate Shaquille O'Neal, one thing is for sure, he elevated his game last
night and led the Heat to a 92-86 win over the Detroit
Pistons.
Wade's twenty points in the fourth
quarter were some of best moves of the year, including an alley oop. It appear
that Miami needed all of his forty points in the game to win. Thank you, Dwayne
Wade for allowing me to still have hope in my playoff pick.
