Who Should the Indianapolis Colts Pick first?

By: Jason Cunningham (4/29/2006)

The Indianapolis Colts will have the number 30th pick of the NFL Draft. The Colts have definite needs at running back and the defensive back position. If things go as planned, the Colts will have to choose between the University of Minnesota running back Laurence Maroney and The Ohio State University cornerback Ashton Youboty.

I am very loyal to The Ohio State University, however we are talking about who can help the Colts the most. If both Maroney and Youboty are available when the Indianapolis draft in the first round of the NFL Draft, you pick Maroney unless a miracle occurs and USC's LenDale White is still available.

The Colts need a running back. USC's White is very desirable because he can be a blocking back. However, Maroney will probably still be available to drafted. I think in the end, the Indianapolis Colts are going to choose Maroney with their first round draft pick.
