Why I Don't Make New Year's
Resolutions!
By: Jason Cunningham (1-01-2006)
At the beginning of each year, people make promises
they fail to keep. Trust me, I will not be one of those
individuals. I think it is ridiculous to try to be a better
person in the New Year or lose some weight.
In my opinion, New Year's Resolutions are a waste of
time. Most of the time people think of things they should be
doing anyway. I enjoy the ones concerning being a better
father or a more understanding husband. Why even say
something that is supposed to your job or responsibility? I
am going to be a better worker on the job this year! Are you
starting to see a pattern forming?
Usually New Year's Resolutions are nothing more than
lip service. In many instances, people just do not follow
through on their promises. How many times have you heard
people claim they will workout everyday of the New Year? I
don't have enough fingers and toes to satisfy that answer.
Just be like me by making no New Year's Resolutions a
tradition. Who really wants to prove they are a hypocrite?
