Why Leinhart Should
Win the Heisman!
By: Jason Cunningham (12/07/2004)
This Saturday, QB Matt Leinhart of the USC
Trojans should go home with the Heisman Trophy. He has been spectacular in
guiding his team to a 12-0 record this year. While throwing 28 touchdowns, and
only six interceptions, Leinhart proved that his accuracy is not only worthy of
the Heisman Award, but would land him in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Leinhart will have help in the voting race,
because Oklahoma's RB Adrian Peterson will take necessary votes for Sooners QB
Jason White to repeat as Heisman winner. It is going to be a landslide victory
for Leinhart. He looks like a NFL player against his college competitors and
this should be the criterion for voting for college's most prestigious
award.
