Peyton is about number three at this point in time,
unless it is a fantasy league that is all about TDs, then of course he is number
one. The Colts will still have a potent offense in 2005, but to expect Manning
to throw for 49TDs is asking for too much, maybe 44. The true reason that
Manning is not number one on my draft board, has to do with the uncertain Colts'
running back situation. If running back Edgerrin James holds out, or is
eventually traded, then picking Minnesota Vikings' QB Daunte Culpepper may be a
viable option to drafting Manning.
People who are new to fantasy football need to read
their league scoring system. Just because Colts' Peyton Manning is the biggest
name in the NFL does not mean you need to draft him number one in your league.
