Why President Bush
Needs To Be a Leader Before WWIII Begins!
By: Jason Cunningham (07/14/2006)
It is time for President Bush to prove his worth as
"leader of the free world." With the exception of September 11, 2001, Bush has
not really been challenged on his idea of democracy in the Middle East. While
the War in Iraq has proved to be most challenging, the Middle East is now on the
brink of World War III.
President Bush has told the American people of his vision of
spreading democracy throughout the Middle East. Unfortunately, it does not
appear that some of the mighty in the region are listening to President Bush. At
this present moment, Israel is on the offense and defense against those among
the Palestinians and Lebanese who oppose their presence in the region and have
captured military leaders. On the other side, members of Hamas and Hezbollah see
the Israelis' desire to bomb and not trade prisoners is a sure call for war.
Is there anything President Bush can do to end the possibility
of World War III? It might be a good idea to bring all of the Middle East
leaders to the White House, including Israeli representatives. The world must
see that this current conflict is not about religion nor should it deter from
peace in the Middle East. Israel should not and must not engage in "Lone Ranger"
military action in the Middle East. Any military action by Israel against other
Arab or Persian states such as Iran, without the assistance of other countries
in the region, will probably be viewed as an act of war against the rest of the
region by many who oppose Israel. President Bush must be able to stop this
conflict. Otherwise, the United States will have to save Israel if it is
attacked on all sides.
