When I look up D in the dictionary there should be a picture of Colts' DE Dwight Freeney. I know in the past that I've been critical at times concerning his play against the run. Freeney without question has been the NFL's best defensive rusher the past two seasons in my opinion. However on the run he has been good, but not great.

After four games this season, I must say that Dwight has taken his game to a new high, and he is the main reason the Colts defense has been so good. Last week versus the Tennessee Titans I didn't have enough fingers to count how many times he was either in the backfield or caused the running back to change directions. He is a stud. Freeney is playing the run so well that you might think he is playing at the DT position. The team is feeding off his play and you can tell that it is his defense just as much as it is QB Peyton Manning's offense. If you are a fan of the Indianapolis Colts then be you can smile as long as Freeney is on the field.
