Why there Are No MLB Stats on My Site!

By: Jason Cunningham (4/20/2006)

Major League Baseball wants websites to pay an enormous fee each year to list a players stats. Due to the ridiculous price to apply for a license, I refuse to mention statistics on this site. As far as I am concerned, it is Major League Baseball lost.

You would think a sport that plays 162 games per year would want people blowing up the internet with its praise. However, the baseball gods just do not get it. Maybe they should lower the license fee to say $50 per year, and they might collect an extra $25,000,000 a year. Oh well, I guess that is why I do not run Major League Baseball.  Yet, for $9,000 a year, I will not be mentioning baseball statistics on the site.
