Why USC's Reggie Bush Will Not
Return to College!
By: Jason Cunningham (12/13/2005)
Some selfish individuals may want
USC's RB Reggie Bush to return for his college senior year. Unlike his college
teammate, QB Matt Leinart, Bush is ready to play in the NFL and not concerned
with winning another Heisman Trophy.
Everybody who thinks Bush will be
making a mistake by declaring himself eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft, needs
to take a deep breath and relax. He can finish up college in the summer
and online during the NFL season. The man has nothing to prove by playing
another year of college football, nor does he owe USC anything, after stepping
on the field for this season's BCS National Championship Game versus the
University of Texas.
The number one pick in the 2006 NFL
Draft will be RB Reggie Bush. This pick will be the most coveted pick in sports
this millennium, only second to the Cleveland Cavaliers drafting of Lebron James
in 2003. Sorry, USC QB Matt Leinart, if you wanted to be the number one overall
draft pick, then you should not have come back for a final season at USC, having
already graduated.
If Bush were to return to USC, he would
not have to share the limelight with anyone. Yes, there are great players and
even present and future All-Americans on the field right now, but Leinart
has enough clout to take a lot of the pressure off Reggie Bush. Mark my words,
Reggie Bush will not return to USC in the fall, but at least he will entertain
us on Sunday afternoon and earn a lot of money.
