(James Wood drops his friend, Michelle Tanner at her apartment the next morning and decides that he needs to go to the office to clean his office.)

Woods walks up to the door and see that the door is cracked open. His curiosity gets the best of him. Instead of going directly to his office he is draw to a file that obviously has been dropped. Before he picks the file up he writes down exactly how it was positioned on the floor, so he can put back in its original state.

After Woods reads through the papers, he discovers that his firm, Carlton, Levine, and Smith has been engaging in a practice of scandalous accounting, whereas they pump up a company earnings before it is sold. The instructions in the papers were how to do it, and had a list of possible suitors to engage. Also, Woods realizes one of the cases that he may be working on is on the list, the Woodward Steel Mill.

James copies the entire file, and puts the papers back on the floor. He hears a noise and slips out of the door. The partner Smith was the one lurking in the shadow. He immediately calls Mr. John Carlton, the Majority partner of the firm.

Mr. Stephen Smith : I think Woods is going to be a possible problem. If he does become a rebel, I'll crush him and make sure he never works again in the U.S. again, and as far as accounting, he will be finished.
